Work Placement Details by Course

Certificate II in Animal Care

    • Optional Work Placement
    • Placement Locations: Pet care centers, boarding schools for pets, and other animal care establishments.
    • Skills Gained:
      ○ Hands-on experience in daily pet management, including feeding, exercise, and behavioral observation.
      ○ Exposure to various aspects of animal care, providing a well-rounded understanding of the field.

Certificate III in Animal Care Services

    • Optional Work Placement
    • Placement Locations: Pet care centers, boarding schools for pets, and other animal care establishments.
    • Skills Gained:
      ○ Hands-on experience in daily pet management, including feeding, exercise, and behavioral observation.
      ○ Exposure to various aspects of animal care, providing a well-rounded understanding of the field.
      ○ Working in a fast-paced commercial environment, focusing on high standards of animal care and customer service.

Certificate III in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming)

    • Optional Work Placement
    • Placement Locations: Specialised pet grooming shops.
    • Skills Gained:
      ○ Advanced grooming techniques, including pet styling, bathing, and care.
      ○ Working in a fast-paced grooming environment, focusing on high standards of animal care and customer service.

Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

    • Work Placement Hours Required: 240 hours
    • Placement Locations: Veterinary clinics.
    • Skills Gained:
      ○ Assisting with clinical procedures and patient care.
      ○ Gaining practical experience in animal diagnostics, treatment, and emergency care under the supervision of experienced veterinary professionals.
